Senior Manager of Quality and Regulatory Affairs
Anna received a BSc. Microbiology degree from the University of Toronto with a specialization in virology and genetics.
After graduating, Anna worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton for several years as a Research Assistant in the Regional Virology and Chlamydiology Laboratory. While there, she was able to gain experience in both the research and diagnostic laboratories. During her time there, Anna worked with a large array of viruses including Influenza and HIV as well as the obligate bacterial parasite Chlamydia trachomatis.
After leaving St. Joseph’s, Anna worked at Langford Laboratories, Guelph, Ontario, in Quality Control – Viral until Langford’s closure in 1995. While there, she was responsible for cell culture and the establishment of a Quality Control testing bank. She was also part of a Total Quality Management team to reduce repeat test occurrences.
Anna has been with Gallant almost from its beginnings during which time she has developed and adapted techniques used in the testing labs for isolation of bacteria and virus as well as processes used for bacterin and vaccine production. She started as a Laboratory Technician and now, continues with Gallant in her role as Senior Manager of Quality and Regulatory Affairs.
